The BC Political Studies Association Annual General Meeting May 4-5, 2023, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby Campus
Political Life after the Pandemic; Plus ça Change, Plus C’est la Même Chose?
With the end of the pandemic reputedly in sight, we invite you to investigate the new or unfolding post-pandemic politics. One key question to address is the extent to which current politics and political agendas have changed or remained static in this emerging reality. A broad interpretation of the conference theme is encouraged, focusing on the changing nature of politics – locally, domestically, regionally, and internationally. As usual, proposals on other Political Science topics are also welcome.
Participation is open to political scientists and scholars from related disciplines. Participants from outside Canada are most welcome. We particularly encourage proposals from graduate students as well as mixed student-faculty panels. Some rules apply. (See BCPSA.CA). Participants can also submit proposals to present posters of research work.
Please send a 250-300-word proposal of your paper, poster, or panel that summarizes what you intend to do, the argument, the method of analysis, and the significance of the topic to:
Alex Netherton: alexander.netherton@viu.ca
Proposal deadline extended to February 13, 2023.
See https://www.bcpsa.ca/for details.
*Please note that no financial assistance can be provided for travel or accommodation expenses.
